About Us:

The company was founded as a result of Matt Blyth’s passion for motorsport. Matt's interest in racing started at a very early age, fuelled and supported by his father Andy Blyth. Andy himself previously worked with Formula Ford in the late 70s/early 80s and has been involved in engineering and running race-cars throughout his career.

Matt Blyth:

An experienced race driver and highly regarded as a professional race-circuit instructor, Matt has achieved numerous race wins and top finishes during his racing career. Like many, Matt began his racing with karting - at the age of nine - in the Cadet class and progressed through the Junior and Senior ranks to win races at British Championship level.

Matt Blyth: Race History & Highlights...

Raced Karts from the age of 9 to 16 years-of-age at British Championship Level - a consistent front runner.

Aged 17 years - progressed to car racing and after a brief spell in Formula Renault, moved to Caterham Roadsports.

Achieved numerous podiums and fastest laps. Raced Caterham Superlight R400. Regular Championship front-runner and multiple race winner.

In 2005 came 3rd in Caterham Superlight Winter Championship.

2006 - continued to race in the Autosport Caterham Superlight Championship but suffered an horrific accident at Silverstone which ended the season and cost the championship.

2007 was spent testing and developing various Caterham components and cars.

Matt Blyth: Porsche Carrera Cup...

2008 - Invited by Porsche to drive the Porsche GB Car in 2 rounds of the Carrera Cup.

2008/2009 - Matt Blyth Motorsport Ltd now registered as a business - Caterham Team and Driver’s Championship winners.

Matt Blyth: Ginetta G50 Cup...

2010 - Matt Blyth Motorsport Ltd enters a new season with the Ginetta G50 Cup and other engineering projects.

2011 - Training Caterham Academy customers, regular private instruction, Goodwood Exclusive Track days (looking after high-profile celebrities) Mercedes AMG Events, Lamborghini & Zonda (High-speed passenger rides).

2012 - Historic FIA Formula 1 Series, Coaching & looking after cars/drivers, and working on instructing events.

2013 - Focusing more on high-profile instructing of major supercar companies & focusing more on Matt Blyth Motorsport Ltd and the running of the race team.

2014 - Matt Blyth Motorsport Ltd enters a higher profile with many wins/placings. Currently fighting for the championship in Caterham Track Sport and focusing more on the brand and marketing opportunities. Filmed a commercial for Lamborghini recently with David Haye & Full Tilt Poker.
